Notification sounds not working

Anybody able to help out all my notifications i.e text messages , WhatsApp messages & email sounds do not work they were working fine and have all of a sudden stopped working .

Receiving calls as in ringing works just notifications that have stopped I think I have checked everything but any ideas greatly appreciated

Taking WhatsApp as an example, try going to...

(phone) Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Notifications > Message notifications > Sound... select the notification sound you want for WhatsApp and come back out.

Try turning do not disturb mode off if you have it on.

please try resetting app preferences

settings → apps → 3 dots → reset app preferences

restart the phone
