Solved: Read all the comments

till end.

So am on holiday in India.

Charged my phone phone overnight as usual and now it want let me use the charger anymore as its giving me the 'moisture has been detected error.

Haven't got a wireless charger at the moment so not happy.

Wouldn't even let me do a wipe cache .

Tried everything from the Internet so far no joy.

And the thing never got wet or anything which is weird.

Help😔

Try resetting the USB port settings to dismiss or confirm it.
Access Settings/Applications and click on the area marked on the screenshot.Activate "Show system applications" and accept.Search for the USB Settings app and in storage-clear cache and Data and restart the device.

My advice comes from being a UK Samsung iPhone user.

Current Devices:
  • iPhone 14 Pro 256GB Deep Purple
  • Samsung Galaxy Buds+ > Model: SM-R175.

Thanks. Unfortunately that doesn't help.

I wanted to try a wipe cache but the minute I put the charger it's started bleeping to take it out so no joy.

I'll probably run it down and then may be try a couple of days later.

It's a bummer though. And ain't happy at all.

I did remove a lot of fluff from the port and still no joy.

Its rainy season in India where I am but didn't expect it to be so sensitive when it's hardly been two days.

Unless I find a wireless charger I won't be a Happy Bunny.

Tried cleaning the port? Lots of posts where members have said using a toothpick to clean the port resolved the issue for them. It's crazy that you have to insert the USB-C cable to access the recovery menu!

Edit: just seen your post above where you said you had cleaned the port... I'm out of ideas sorry 😭

did you clean the USB connector at the cable end (I ones had the same problem and cleaning the USB port in the phone didn't help, but cleaning the USB connector at the cable did ) it is just so easy to overlook

In the interim @GoanGeek I would go with purchasing a wireless charger or find a coffee shop etc that has inbuilt wireless charging in the tables to see if the phone will charge that way.

The shop selling wireless chargers may have a demo model you can test the phone on before buying one.

I have a powerbank that has a pad ontop of it to allow wireless charging so maybe see if you can find one of those.

I wish you all the best.  :smiling-face:

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Yeah did find a Chinese multi wireless charger which has ports to charge other phones as well.

Looks like that's the way to go out an excuse to buy a new phone. 😁
