USB-c to HDMI not working on S20FE

I have been using USB-C to HDMI to connect my phone to an older Samsung TV that doesn't support SmartView without any issues for a while. Recently this stopped working and neither screen mirroring nor Dex works. If I use the same set-up with my old S8 it works just fine, so it can't be the cable.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried restarting the phone?

Have you tried to use through the Smart view app! I have an older Samsung TV and s20+, I use a mirror dongle on my projector and TV, and it works fantastic. Try a dongle as the TV software and phone could be uncompatable from the last update. Dongle on amazon £20. Compatible with any HDMI slot.... all good. Ps I have the s8 and s20. Same problem. All good now.

I will give this a go, thanks for the suggestion, but I still don't understand why the USB-C to HDMI just would stop working, particularly if it continues to work fine on a much older phone.

My s8 still works sound but since the android 13 update its easier using the dongle. My s8 still using hdmi lead to my TV.
