at first i notice flickering lines on my device specially when playing games. I ask the samsung support and instructed me to soft reset my phone. then it turned green and white display and overheat when stayed open for a while.

 

is it a screen problem or just an update issue?

I have the same issue.

Suddenly, screen became white and green on 13th October 2021.

Tried all the online methods to fix the issue, but it didn't fix the problem either.

Later I decided to contact Samsung Service Center, and they told me to boot the phone into recovery mode and wipe cache partition (power off the phone, then press volume up and power up button together until you see the android logo).

This didn't solve my issue.

My last update is 12 October 2021.

My phone didn't drop, of dropped in liquid or pressure.

I am a big fan of Samsung products, so I have many of them like galaxy gear s3, galaxy buds live, Samsung s6 edge.

This breaks my heart Samsung, I think I will leave Samsung

This happens to me today on my s20 plus (exynos) and I just update the phone early this month. The screen went crazy everywhere even at always on display. I somehow manage to get my phone to safemode and nothing change. In the last attemp to turn off always on display whlie still in safemode in the setting using my tab s7 fe as a guidelines to navigate through the setting, I accidentaly stumble upon adaptive brigness and toggle it on and off then magicaly the display back to normal. Hopefuly that is the cause and its a one time thing.

I love the brand and almost all my device comes from it (phone, tablet, watch, tws and my tv all of them are samsung's produtct). It will break my heart if their premium device becomes so unreliable (I already accept my fate on heating, battery issues, and many other that comes on the exynos side).

I am curious if anyone tried the adaptive brightness and if its working on your device too or else this issues will haunt me.

I am facing the same problem with flickering green and white lights before the screen turns fully green and white after a few days which made it totally unusable.

It happened suddenly in the afternoon when it was working perfectly fine in the morning. My phone never got wet nor was it ever dropped before. 

Tried resetting it and switching it to safe mode but didn't work. The only option was to change a new screen and since it happened after the warranty expired it costed a fortune. 

I hope Samsung gives us an answer regarding their flagship phone.

I had the issue just now where the phone suddenly turn to white/green display. 

I tried restart the phone and put the phone on the table and constantly try to see if the phone will go back to the original stats. After some trying, the phone manage to restart back to the normal condition and immediately i switch off "adaptive brightness" setting and the issue is not there any more. 

P.S. I started to see some flickering issue on my screen display after undergo an update last week.

You should check your phone daily, see if it has flickering or not because it's the first sign of the white/green issue

My phone turned white/green last afternoon after I updated it.

Hi, i had this issue recently with my S20. Haven't got it fixed by Samsung service center since it's costly and usually it comes back to normal after few minutes/hours. However one day when this issue occurred, it stayed more than 24 hours and i was worried because i need my phone for work and hadn't got my files backed up. So i tried to connect my phone to my laptop, tried to back up files but i didn't work, so i let it still connected for few minutes. The lined screen turned all green i didn't what was happening, but after some time it went back to normal. After that this issue still happening, my phone still sometimes until now goes white but when it's happening i always connect it to my laptop and let it stay some time, and it comes back to normal. So far that's i can do before deciding to sell/fix it and change to a new one. Hopefully this will work for others who have the same issue with their Samsung. Btw, i did try to adjust the brightness and turn the background mode into dark too. I think it only helps because we cannot see the lined screen too clearly in dark mode.

Yes, same for me too, I'm wondering, why Samsung is not making any proper solution for this issues, if it was our fault like phone drop, any other damages by our side means we can accept the fact & do screen replacement by spending such big amount, our only mistake is doing software update where you mentioned bug fixes and after updating only we got this problem and also most number of users getting this problems after warranty period crossed.


I have searched many queries, mostly every solution ends up with screen replacement & also someone mentioned even after doing screen replacement, facing same issues. It's been 3 days since my mobile turned white/green screen. I'm much worried to get another phone or replace screen for this phone itself, kindly help us through this, thanks.WhatsApp Image 2021-11-11 at 10.13.12 AM.jpeg

I had the same problem a few weeks ago with my S20 + equipment, and I sent it to the samsung service center in my country, Mexico, but the only thing they solved for me was to charge me for changing the screen, charging me 325 USD, a real disappointment, like many of you I have been loyal to Samsung for many years but it is time to change brands due to lack of response. The s20 + is not cheap to have these flaws. Maybe iphone has better service and customer support.
