Making calls while on 5g

Hi , we've got one 5g mast in Aldershot which I walked passed today ( its on the outskirts of town so not much use to anyone but hey it counts towards the towns they've installed 5g in so a con really  ! ) , my Note 10 plus 5g showed the 5g symbol , did a speed test which was 581 down and 48 , started updating some apps , received a call and it switched to 3g ( which on Three UK network is H+ ) ? Does anyone now why ? Is this the case everywhere or just Three UK ? Not much point having a phone you've paid extra for 5g version that reverts to 3g when a call comes in ?

*I did try turning of VoLTE setting , made no difference still switched from 5g to 3g

Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but the phone is only switching data to 3G. You can't call and use data at the same time; your old 4G phone would switch to 2G when you make or receive a call (which basically means you have no data when calling). If you end the call, you'll be back on your high speed 5G again

Thats not the case as you can select VoLte which is voice calls using data , also I can search Internet,  ebay, amazon etc while making calls no problem , the issue was with 5g . I spoke to Three Uk and they were looking into it .
