Hello @Shauna1
Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss.
I totally understand and appreciate how precious one's photo's are.
This is why I also Back up to Dropbox.
The security protocols and Biometrics are in place to protect the phone, and it's contents so as such arenkot meant to be circumvented.
You may have to keep trying all your known pin numbers unfortunately.
Take a look at > What-can-you-do-if-you-forgot-the-pin-pattern-or-password-of-your-galaxy-device.
Some years ago a Samsung Cloud Back up did include backing up photo's { albeit this has changed now to Onedrive }
This may or may not help > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/apps-services/how-can-i-find-my-id-or-password-if-i-forget-it.
Other than that do try Onedrive too if applicable.
A Samsung Service Centre or Samsung Experience Store would probably only be able to factory reset.
You could try Samsung SmartSwitch via a Computer to see if you can access the phone's files that way.However as the phone is Biometrically locked that may not work.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
