Since recent Android updates to increase security of the phone in regard to usb devices when the phone is locked, plugging in a usb headphone adapter when the phone is locked causes the phone to reboot when it tries to play audio.
Scenario 1. Unlock phone. Plug USB headphone adapter. No issue.
Scenario 2. Call comes in whilst phone locked. Plug USB headphone adapter. Answer call. No audio. After 30 seconds or so phone reboots. If phone is unlocked whilst headphones unplugged/replugged before phone reboots, audio does not recover and phone still reboots. Any audio causes the reboot, phone call, youtube, etc.
Scenario 3. Call comes in whilst phone locked. USB headphone adapter already connected from previously. Answer call. No issue.
Current setup A54 with October patch. Was doing it on September patch also.
3 different usb to 3.5mm jack adapters tested, from two different vendors.
Multiple crash reports uploaded, no change in October patch.
Fix coming?

Hi @Tetrisx and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum.
Unfortunately the Samsung Development Team wouldn't see your post here, as this is a user to user forum.
I would therefore suggest to send this as direct feedback via your Samsung Members App.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
