Hello everyone.
I'm commenting on the "disorder" that Samsung is causing me to suffer. Last Thursday, I decide to reboot my device, Samsung A22 4g, something I do once a week to "speed up" the device a bit, and this is when the WORST happens. My samsung does NOT accept/recognize my own PIN (100% sure it is the correct one), at first I thought I was setting it wrong, after three errors, I start to worry.... After 3 wrong errors, I start trying other "possible PINs" but none were correct ACCORDING to the device.
Today I try again and it asks me to wait 24 HOURS before I can try a PIN.
I want to clarify that I can NOT lose the data that is on the phone, otherwise I would have already restored and recovered my device.
I have read all over the internet and it has happened to many users. Some have solved it by going into Safe Mode and it accepted (fortunately) the PIN.
What is Samsung's solution to this? I can't just reset the phone, I have a lot of data that I can't lose.
I look forward to hearing from anyone who has been able to fix this. This is really keeping me awake at night! a real headache!

My S22 has just locked. Fingerprint option doesn't appear and pin code not accepted. Soft reset doesn't work either. Does this fix itself eventually? I've read elsewhere in this thread something about 24 hours. This is so ***** annoying!

IMPORTANT: It might sound stupid... But.. yesterday, i was just "said" my PIN to a friend near me. Since this time, and I can guarantee that the friend DIDN't take my mobile in hand (as he left), the PIN changed (later sometime).
Might sound crazy and stupid, but did any of you remember saying / spelling the PIN before losing it.. Intresting to know.... and important IMHO.

This is still a serious issue. I'm still seeing it occur on models older than the latest one, for example, A01-A03. And in some cases reoccurring. It was occurring with A04 but I've not received recent reports. I've not seen it on A05-A06 although have few of those in use in my circles. It happens on S22-S23 but again fewer S24 in use. I've spent a lot of time helping panicked users, several who have lost personal and business data, and have been reaching out to Samsung users making sure they have Google/Samsung Backup configured, backup manually or understand the potential risk if they don't. Several users advising they had somehow forgotten their PINs and had to take the phone into a repair agent to do a reset. My circles involve contact with several hundred Samsung users and I think there would be around 15-20 who experienced this. So what's happening with thousands of users? Or millions? Seems to me this is something a human inside Samsung should be raising with other humans and engaging with competent developers to investigate further.

I am just having this error, i can't believe they haven't fixed it, i can't even restart my phone because it asks for the pin. I'll try the volume button thing now.
it's still not working and it says "There have been too many unsuccessful attempts to unlock your phone. we've locked it permanently. Contact Samsung Customer Service to reset your phone.
I swear to god if "reset" means deleting everything i'm gonna kms.

It happened to me on February 27, 2025 and what I did after 5 hours of trying was to press and hold the power and lower volume button. It worked
