[URGENT HELP] Samsung does not recognize my correct PIN

Hello everyone.

I'm commenting on the "disorder" that Samsung is causing me to suffer. Last Thursday, I decide to reboot my device, Samsung A22 4g, something I do once a week to "speed up" the device a bit, and this is when the WORST happens. My samsung does NOT accept/recognize my own PIN (100% sure it is the correct one), at first I thought I was setting it wrong, after three errors, I start to worry.... After 3 wrong errors, I start trying other "possible PINs" but none were correct ACCORDING to the device.

Today I try again and it asks me to wait 24 HOURS before I can try a PIN.

I want to clarify that I can NOT lose the data that is on the phone, otherwise I would have already restored and recovered my device.

I have read all over the internet and it has happened to many users. Some have solved it by going into Safe Mode and it accepted (fortunately) the PIN.

What is Samsung's solution to this? I can't just reset the phone, I have a lot of data that I can't lose.

I look forward to hearing from anyone who has been able to fix this. This is really keeping me awake at night! a real headache!

Doing a hard reset should give you the option to reset the phone without deleting all your data if not back everything up to Google or the Samsung cloud then hard reset

There's no way to reset a phone and keep the data, so please don't try that. If you setup your find my phone feature, you might be able to use it to remote unlock the phone. But if you can't do that and you have no backups, there's no way to remove a pin and keep the data

Hello to both of you. Thank you for replying. I have tried already, but factory resetting my cell phone is not an option, as I can't lose my data (it's very important to me).

I am now with another backup cell phone I had, so I can wait some more days until I get some solution.

Hi Juan,

I am here with you. I accepted the fact that i will lose all my data and did factory reset and it still not accept my new pin. SO, for your sake, do not factory reset like me and got nothing back. I am still trying to figure out how can i get my phone back normally.

  • The same lockout issue also happened to me, 3 weeks ago (Galaxy S21+). I had Verizon & Samsung tech support on a 3-way call. In my case there was nothing that could be done, and since my phone was insured they sent me a new one. But I lost EVERYTHING except calendar & contacts. Most of my stuff was also on my laptop, but the pics were gone for good. The best I could do was to text everyone I'd ever sent a pic to & asked them to send me any that they hadn't already deleted. If I had backed up my phone regularly I could've easily restored everything to the new phone. Lesson learned. I'm backing up the new phone at least weekly. I definitely agree that samsung needs to prioritize fixing this.

Hey,

I have just had this same issue ( my phone will not accept the correct pin) I spoke to an expert on a Samsung live chat and they told me to hold the power button as well as the lower volume button for 10-15 seconds. This then done a “soft refresh” on the phone and my phone has now let me use the pin to get into my Samsung.. hope this helps someone!!
