UI 7 update - Battery Percentage

There was nothing wrong with the old Battery percentage just shown as text (ie. 96%) it didn't need to be put in a bubble with a pointless bar that cannot be removed, and the whole thing much less legible than it was before - please revert this.

Also, the swipedown to reveal notifications.
I keep getting 'settings' instead. OK, I have to swipe down on the left for Notifications and right for settings, but this is hard to get used to, and I can't believe that anyone asked for it.

Silent Mode - what the heck? Before it was dead easy and mode easilly visible, now its a mulltiple key stroke faff. If it ain't broke.

You're messing it up with UI 7.

Agreed, the old battery icon was ideal. Now it's just confusing for those of us with the time over there

Pandered to the apple converts so it's easier for them to get used to android obviously. While at same time upsetting there existing customer base. Not a good move. Hence why I've not upgraded to one ui 7.

The notifications and control panel can be changed so it works like the old style. Drag down twice till you see the pen icon then select panel settings and then select together.

Brilliant! Thanks. 👍
Got it back like it was now.

But why the unsolicited nudge into different settings with a new UI, when they can just tell people about them and let them choose for themselves?

Amen about the battery percentage. My phone is about to run out as I didnt spot it was low before I left the house this morning *precisely* because of this dreadful change.  If they dont reverse this change, or at least give us the option to override it, I'll be looking at Pixels for my next phone.

@Members_V4HFmAn: I'm sorry to hear of your frustration surrounding this matter. If you are having some difficulty seeing the percentage in the newly designed battery icon, then you may wish to consider adding a widget to your Home screen for added visibility. To do so, pinch inwards on your Home screen > Widgets > Battery > Choose your preferred option > Add.
