After way more than a month of using One UI 7, I do have to say that I'm impressed with a few things with the OS

●For example, the phone feels a lot more smooth than it did before! Especially with starting up the phone, I don't get as much lag as it used to when it loaded my widgets and apps.

Customisability and looks

I absolutely love the new icons! They look way more colourful than it did on One UI 6

For example (the app icons)

●The new icons is what I really love! And customisability, they added several features that I love the now bar which is very useful for me for workouts in the gym or playing music on my phone, love the new design for notifications panel and quick settings

●I love the colour palette that changes your app icons and settings so it matches your wallpaper (I don't know if it's always been a thing with Samsung phones or if anything has been updated on it)
Downsides (Some of these are just problems with A series phones)

●The notification panel and quick settings panel are separate, meaning you have to swipe down from the left side of the screen for notifications and right side for quick settings (you can change this is settings)

●Still no Always On Display with some A series phones (including ones with AMOLED), this is very annoying for me because at night, I would want to check the time and not get flashed by my phone, I suggest Samsung needs to add AOD to Some A series AMOLED phones

●I don't think the battery icon change is really that necessary, it looks minimalistic that i like but I feel like it wasn't a really big of a change

●Some people complain about how the menus hurt their eyes because it's too bright and colourful (Which I agree with but they can just change app colours and menu colours now)

●I have noticed that my battery drains little quicker than it did before, and I'm now very annoyed 😒

Overall, I think this Samsung update is a little disappointing to see, so I'm hoping that Samsung updates are going to be better in the future because a lot of people are pi**ed off about the update, or I think it will be the downfall of Samsung

Peace out!

Thankyou for adding some balance.

I agree with most of your comments about the new UI.

However expect some conflict... there are a minority that do not like it... and will disagree with you.

Glad you are a happy user.

This one can be set back to a single swipe down

I would get rid of the pill myself and just have the number and a % icon but that's just my preference.

I think they changed the battery icon so that it works with the charging animation.

Quite possibly.

I don't like it myself but I also don't get upset about it 😂😂

Same here. I'm not a fan. Looks really bad if you remove the percentage numbers.

Always on Display is available on the A24, A25 and A3x and A5x models. It's unlikely Samsung will add it to A series models which don't have it.
