Hey there

After the recent December update in South Africa, After a few days the phone started slow charging (8 hours until full), I've tried changing the ports, clearing cache, restarting phone , changing wall charger, cables, and even used a powerbank to check where the problem is and it is definitely the phone.

Please help ASAP!!

what update are we talking about? the google security update for 1 November? or Samsung update UI6.1.1??

you can read through this Charging Tips | Galaxy Battery | Samsung United Kingdom it contains some tips and eventually contacting the Samsung service themselves

meanwhile, try turning fast charging on, also try resetting the USB settings,

Settings > Apps > on the button next to the app list choose show system apps > USBsettings > storage > clear cache and data.

Yes I'm referring to the samsung update...I still however updated all my samsung apps and all the Google play apps and it's still slow charging.

I am recently facing the same challenge too with my a15. I just woke up one morning to charge my phone and its taking over 8hours to get a full charge but the same charger is fast charging another phone.

Apparently samsung software and hardware  for their lower tier A series phone below A25 like your A15 and lower cannot really sustain  25W charging so eventually the charging port gets damaged as a result of not being able process the 25W power.I used to have an A25 and have never had such a problem so to be honest I'm definitely not buying samsung phones ever again, I don't think they care anymore about their customers and products they have lost the plot...like now none of their good midrangers have a headphone jack port.
