Sign in to network issue but phone is connected normally?

A52s. Plusnet is my ISP. Phone is functioning normally, connected to wifi yet I have the little exclamation mark beside the symbol and my phone is telling me to sign in to network??????? I'm on my phone's browser right now creating this post and it even says "no internet connection" even though I can send messages, use the internet etc. Restarting phone didn't work, neither did forgetting the wifi either. Wtf??

Update: managed to fix it, saw a solution in another post for a different problem to hold the lock and volume down buttons for 10 seconds until the phone restarts. No more sign in required and no more exclamation mark beside the symbol either!

I have reset the wifi network in the settings
and restarted the phone
and restarted the modem
but unfortunately the problem persists
the sign to wifi network page also comes up completely white
it opens the internet but some programs give errors
