A33/5G - WLAN can not be switched on

My A33/5G runs on Android 15 and One UI 7.0. Last update took place more than a month ago. Now suddenly I can not turn on my WLAN anymore.

In the context menue I can click on the WLAN-symbol, it turns grey but not white afterwards. In the settings menue I can "move" the WLAN slider, it moves to the on-position and turns dark grey... but it is not switched on (stays dark grey and no WLANs detected). After leaving the menues and coming back right away the WLAN is turned off.

I tried the following without success:
Turn flight modus on and off again...
Reset network connections...
Restart of phone...

Any suggestions or hints??

Solution!!

I had the same issue for the last 2 weeks - no WLAN activation possible. I wanted to wait for the next system update before digging into the hardware...

Yesterday I performed the update to Android 16 and One UI 8 - and after the update I can activate the WLAN again and everything works fine!!!

Two strange things that appeared in September got corrected in the newest update too:

- Before the last update I had to press the power button always twice to turn the phone off

- In my car the phone found the Android Auto display, started Android Auto on the phone - but the display did not connect to the phone (via BT)

Try diagnostics via Samsung members app

I have tried that in the meantime - but when it comes to the WLAN-test the members app asks me to start up the WLAN... And I'm not able to start it (see my first post) - all the other tests of the app run ok without problems.

It will need to be looked at. Sounds like hardware failure
