Hello everyone! I have found this site detailing security updates on Samsung phones: https://security.samsungmobile.com/workScope.smsb. I would like to buy an A55 or A56 for my next phone. The only thing I don't understand is that A53, A54 and A55 models are listed as "Enterprise Models", which suggests that only devices sold B2B get monthly security updates.
What is the reality here? Does A53-54-55 models get monthly updates or not? I have seen that 1-2 months got skipped, but I'd say that can be accounted as a "too much work with OneUI 7" hiccup.
Also, is there a difference on the vulnerabilities that are fixed on each devices? What I mean is if an up-to-date A series phone as secured as an up-to-date S series phone?
I'm well aware that the user is the biggest risk-factor, but still, I would like to feel safe after switching fom S to A series.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hi @Denag44 As a matter of interest which S Device do you currently have? Obviously depends on your needs/desires and the higher end A devices are fine for some, the S series device are more premium though as you can imagine.
The security protection for the A series should be sufficient though.

Thank you! I was referring to the same list, what threw me off was the "Enterprise" addition to the model names, I guess that does not mean what I thought it did.

Thank you, I guess Samsung could count on nit-pickers like me asking these stuff.

I'm using an S22 right now, but don't need good cameras, gaming performance, DeX, smaller form factor or AI tools. The only thing I would like from an S series phone are the monthly security updates.
I have used an A35 for a brief period of time, suitted my needs perfectly, but that gets quarterly updates.
