screen/email problem - A12

I bought a Samsung Galaxy A12 phone last September. Recently, when I open my an email (gmail.com) part of the mail on the right hand side is missing on the screen. This also happens when I use my old Galaxy J5 phone. However, when I use other devices such as my microsoft  laptop the entire email appears on the screen. 

I am an IT dinosaur, so please bear this in mind when responding.

@Antrim: Are you visiting the Gmail website via an internet browser? If so, please can you try using the dedicated Gmail app, accessible by swiping up from your Home Screen and tapping on the Google folder > Gmail, and check to see if the issue persists.
