Hello 👋🏻

I have problem is Inability to Access Notification/Quick Panel While I'm Inside Applications After Recent Interface Update (one ui 8.0)

I can't to pull down the Notification Panel (or Quick Panel) when I am actively using an application in the standard Portrait Mode.

1- Expected Normal Behavior: When swiping down from the very top of the screen while inside any application, the Notification Panel should drop down over the application content.

2- Current Abnormal Behavior after the interface update (one ui 8.0):

 - In Portrait Mode: The swipe-down gesture fails completely; I cannot access the Quick Panel while an app is open.

 - Available Temporary solution that I found is :

Exiting the App: I am forced to exit the current application and return to the Home Screen to successfully pull down the panel.

 - Or Switching Orientation: If I rotate the phone into Landscape Mode (Horizontal), I am then able to pull down the Notification Panel over the running application.

 And another note !

When I use the apps and I show the front camera cutout , and when I use the apps and I hide the front camera cutout , There is a difference You can see a transparent rectangular .
As if there is a barrier that does not allow touching the screen .

I face this problem with all applications except for one case when I am in the screen home .

 Thank you .

Hi @SIMO7AMED777

welcome to our Community! 😊

Could you tell me if this behavior occurs with a specific application or with different applications?

Could you also provide me a photographic evidence in which the reported "transparent rectangular" is visible?

I can advise you to proceed with a system cache memory cleanup, called Wipe cache partition, following these steps:

  • Turn off your phone
  • Check the USB connector is used, for example by connecting it to a PC
  • Press and hold the Power and Volume High button
  • When Samsung appears, it only releases the Power button
  • When the blue screen appears, also release the High Volume key
  • In the following screen there will be many items: move with the volume button up or down to select "wipe cache partition"
  • Confirm this choice with the Power button
  • Move to the "Yes" item and confirm again
  • Finally, position yourself on the "reboot system now" item and confirm.

I would like to reassure you that this operation will not delete any personal data, however, all those obsolete system cache files that can in some way generate temporary malfunctions will be deleted.

I remain at your complete disposal.

Have a nice day!

Hello 👋🏻 good afternoon

Thank you for replying

No, this problem isn't limited to just one app. Rather, I encounter it when using all apps, whether they're those I downloaded myself from play store or those included with my phone's operating system.

Yes, of course, I will send you two pictures and you will see the difference between them and you will see the transparent rectangle that I talked about .

I will do the solution you suggested to me, but before doing that step I want to make sure from you that my data will be safe and will be not deleted when I do this process ( wipe cache partition ) Such as pictures, videos, etc.

I will wait for your reply and thank you again .

Have a nice day too.
