Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G headphone mic not working

Hi

My Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G wired headset microphone seems to have stopped working randomly. This means that I'm unable to hear the caller, for both inbound and outbound calls. I've tried various different wired headsets, which work fine on other phones but just not on the Samsung Galaxy A52s. The phone is less than a year old and is still on warranty.

Has anybody else experienced the same fault with their Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G? It seems quite strange for it to suddely to stop functioning as I've been using this daily since I've had the phone. 

My software is all up to date, I've tried the microphone diagnostics on the members page, cleaned the headphone jack and rebooted the phone several times. Any help would be much appreciated.

How did it go is your device alright now ? My a52s has same problem

Unfortunately, you will need to buy a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone adapter and use your wired headset (if you don't already have one) via the adapter instead. The software updates that Samsung seem to have pushed down to the phone seems to cause this problem.

I believe this to be the case, Samsung dropped the ball and now my two wired headphones can't be used for a call as the mic is not working. The function button I used to mute calls or change the song I'm listening to doesn't work anymore. But I'm not buying an adapter or using a wireless set. F*ck Samsung, I'm not buying even a pendrive from them anymore, their products are pure rubbish, there's no way they are not aware of the side effects of their inane updates.
