Samsung A55 5G One UI 7 Update

Hello, I am new to this forum. I was wondering if anyone knows the answer to my question. I recently bought the Samsung A55 5G from Argos. I have read numerous articles about the Android 15 update called One UI 7.0. My question is do you need to download the beta version first which I don't really want to do, or can you wait for the official version. Also I don't have WiFi at home so will I need to use WiFi for the official full update or is this just for beta? I can use public WiFi if I need to. Thanks

Welcome to the samsung UK forum! In answer to your question, no. The update can be downloaded when it comes even if you don't have beta installed. You don't technically need WiFi, but it's recommended. Just so you know - One Ui 7 and android 15 are two different things. One Ui 7 is samsungs version of new ai features and refined features. Enjoy your new phone!

Hi, thanks for your reply. I just read the beta version needs WiFi to download on A55 because of the seamless download technology or something but didn't mention this for the proper update. I think I will wait for the official update. I don't suppose you know when A55 5G will get this as I read the latest news on Sammy Fans and it wasn't mentioned at all and it's a relatively new model. Thanks

That's correct the beta can only be downloaded by WiFi. End of April/May I think for the A55

No you don't have to download the beta first. I'm just gonna wait for the update and not bother with the beta

Im not sure myself. Depending on where you bought your A55. If you bought it directly from Samsung, then you should have a banner showing up on the members page where you can enrol onto the beta program. At the moment, the S series line up will be the first to get the One Ui 7, then the foldable phones. A series is usually the last.
