@Stepg: If you are outside the region where the phone was intended to be used, then this can create compatibility issues with OTA (over the air) software updates. If you do have access to a home computer, then please try using Smart Switch, as per the on-screen notification, to see if you have any more success.
To begin with, please follow the link below, and click on 'How Do I Get Smart Switch On My PC or Mac' to download the relevant version

Once installed, open Smart Switch, connect your A32 using the USB cable that came packaged with the device, and look for an update prompt on the landing page, next to your device details.
