If you open settings and scroll down you'll see accounts and back up and under that will say Google if there is one. I've found if you unlink the Google account the freezing stops. But obviously this isn't a fix as most ppl use Google for mail/text messages play store etc. I was just testing things out tbh.

I'm in France,  and I am having the same problems with the touchscreen.  Driving me bonkers,  and wasting vast amounts of time.

I'm grateful for the advice that members have shared, but none of the "simple " fixes recommended have resolved the issue. I'm not into trying some of the very technical stuff others have mentioned.  Cleared the cache (which didn't work, obv).

I'm very vexed by having to reboot a dozen times a day, and deeply disappointed by Samsung's apparent disregard for the problems experienced by [loyal] customers.

Since updating my Samsung A14 to One UI v7.0, I have had difficulty unlocking the phone. Consequently, I cannot answer the phone when somebody calls or cancel alarms.

What kind of a special cretin at Samsung thought that pushing an irreversible update like this was a good idea?! Now that you (SAMSUNG) have basically bricked my phone, I now find myself in the awkward position of telling clients that I may not be able to take their calls.

I note that others have experienced the same issues. None of the other “workarounds” seem to work for me. The Tekken three-hit combo whilst standing on one leg doesn’t cut it. The best solution I have seen on this forum is to throw the phone away and buy a Sony phone instead.

My question is, how do I invoice Samsung for a Sony phone?

@Members_SgVx3MW: I'm very sorry to learn that you have encountered performance issues on your Galaxy A14 following a recent update. If the issue is persistent then please submit an Error Report via the Samsung Members app, and our team of experts will be able to explore any possible software issues which might be a contributing factor.

To do so, please open Samsung Members > Support (bottom right) > Send arrow (bottom right). You will now be notified that Samsung Members is collecting system log data.

Select your most relevant category > Adjust the “Frequency” section depending on how often the issue occurs > Ensure “Send system log data” is enabled to attach the log > Write a detailed account of the experienced behaviour, as well as timestamps if possible. Finally, attach any relevant video, image or audio files using the paper clip in the top right, before pressing the Send arrow. When doing so, please submit your report within 5 minutes of encountering the problem, as this will ensure that the attached data accurately reflects the issue at hand.

In the meantime, as a workaround for your issue surrounding answering and ending calls, please open the Phone app > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Answering and ending calls > Use Volume up to answer calls > On > Use Side button to end calls > On.
