after updating my A14 5G to One UI 7.0, my touchcreen doesn't work at all anymore.
How to fix this?

Same issue. It's temporarily solved after reboot, but then touch screen stops working again.

Bonjour,

Earlier this afternoon I tried what you said and the changes have given me the longest time 'off charger' without experiencing the touchscreen freeze. I'm not sure if this then is a fix or just a longer time between my phone reverting back to getting the freezes.
My translation of your suggestion:
Open settings -> Search "One" -> Select "One UI Version" -> Select "Google Play system update"
Oddly even though I had the latest version, the phone still said Optimising Apps and had to restart to complete the update. After reboot my phone has been off the charger and still working ok. May be temporary, buit it's longer than before.
If I try the same again now, after selecting the Google Play update, it checks and now tells me my phone is up to date. Maybe the rollout update didn't then complete before?
I had been trying software update each day - and that has been telling me my software is up to date each time - so why the Google Play update did anything at all I don't know.
Thanks if that is a better fix than my phone having to stay on charge to work!

The same happened to my Samsung A14, 2 weeks ago. I tried various 'fixes', including restarting using sidebars, putting phone into 'safe mode', which I found online but nothing worked. I took it into the Vodafone shop from where I originally bought it via a 3 year contract 14 months ago and they said it wasn't a network problem. He checked if Samsung would trade it in but they won't trade A series anymore!! I went home and phoned Samsung tech department. Was on the phone with them for over an hour trying various 'fixes' including 'safe mode'. She said she'd phone me back after a couple of hours. She didn't! I then deleted various apps hoping that would fix the problem ...it didn't. About 5 days later I got back to Samsung Tech department and spoke to a lovely young Filipino guy called Justin for about 2 hours again trying various fixes. Nothing worked so he backed up my data on Google and did a factory reset remotely. I then tried to log in only to find that the 'OK' button didn't work ... it didn't light up and had frozen ... so I was locked out of my phone permanently. Justin said he could either book me into a Samsung tech shop in either Solihull or Birmingham or alternatively I could send the phone there by post ... but it would take 7 to 11 days to get it back! I don't have a spare phone and they don't provide a temporary one. I said that was unacceptable asI couldn't spare a whole day driving from Worcester to Birmingham and waiting for them to fix the problem and also couldn't wait 7-11 days to do it by post. He said he'd get someone to call me the following day from the 'higher' dept to try and arrange another solution. They called me twice today but hadn't turned their mic on so there was nothing but silence! I called Samsung again and told them what had happened and I eventually received a call from the so-called 'higher' dept. I asked them if they could replace my phone as I'd had quite enough of the whole situation. She said that wasn't possible but they could send an engineer from a company called Likewise Ltd to my home in Worcester and fix the phone in their mobile van. I received an email from Likewise Ltd, a few hours later to book the visit ... however they wanted to charge me £19.95! I called them and asked why I had to pay this as the phone is still under warranty and that I'd been promised there would be no charge. They said it was Samsung who charged this for any Samsung A series phone repair, not for any other Samsung phone!!! So not only did their update cause the 'freeze' problem, but they then want to charge me to repair the problem which their update had caused!!! Absolutely unbelievable!!! I phoned Samsung again and put in a complaint to the 'higher' dept who had assured me on our previous call this morning that I would not be charged. I'm now waiting to hear back from them. These big corporations are a bloody nightmare ... they walk all over people and disrespect our consumer rights. If I don't get any satisfaction, I'll be taking it further via the ombudsman. I realise that £19.95 isn't a huge amount of money but I'm furious that Samsung have applied this to any repairs ... especially as it's only for the A series ... the whole thing stinks!

I managed to get 6 or 7 hours 'off charger' without a touchscreen freeze. But it's back - so maybe it was just the reboot again that gave the temporary reprieve?

I turned off the fingerprint sensor for unlocking the screen in settings. Seems to be running smoother now although I still get the occasional screen freeze.
