Galaxy A SeriesYou might have hit the nail on he head there.
My cheap Chinese Oukitel C15 Pro has 5GHZ wifi 😀
Cannot see anyway to tell what the network is on the phone?
I just use 2.5GHZ at home and it connects fine there.
Will monitor in other places.

Galaxy A SeriesI'm sure I read somewhere that the A12 does not support 5ghz because it does not have dual band WiFi support.

Galaxy A SeriesYes, lack of 5GHZ appears to be the cause. ☹️
I created a hotspot on my C15pro and it connected to that fine.
Shame really, as the rest of the phone seems a tidy phone.
At least I know it is not faulty. 😄
Thanks to all that posted. 👍
