Hi, I am having an immense issue on my phone, which also many other people are encountering I saw online as well. I keep getting a non-stop silent notification which says USB Connector Connected / Disconnected. I have a A51 phone and since 3 days this is going on.

I saw many other people encountered this issue. I have tried many of the proposed solutions but in vain. Here is a list of things I did to tackle it:

-Discharge my phone battery to 0% then full charge to 100% with my original battery charger and TYPE C cable.
-Cleared cache and date of USB Settings
-Cleared cache of Android System
-Boot in safe mode and cleared cache of USB settings
-Master reset
-Wiped cache partition in recovery mode
-Downgraded to previous firmware
-Cleaned USB port with a plastic toothpick
-Put the phone 20 hours in rice and even used hair dryer
-Enabled developer mode and change USB default connection to phone charging only

I tried all these but in vain. The issue still persists. I have heard that even after changing the USB port, the problem comes back later. So, it is not a hardware issue then!

Please help...

Hi @callmsj, to help you identify why this is happening, please go through the following steps:

  • Check for physical obstructions: Make sure the USB-C connector on the controller and your phone are clean and free of debris. Dust or dirt can cause connection issues.

  • Update software: Ensure both your Samsung phone and the Razor Kishi Ultra controller have the latest firmware and software updates installed. Check the app store for updates to any related apps.

  • Test with another device: Try plugging the Razor Kishi Ultra into a different phone or tablet to check if the issue is with the controller or your phone.

  • Reboot your phone: A simple restart can sometimes fix connectivity issues.

  • Enable USB Debugging: If you're using an Android phone, enabling USB debugging (in Developer Options) to see if this helps.

  • Try a different cable: If your controller has a detachable USB-C cable, try swapping it out for a different one, as faulty cables can sometimes cause these connection issues.

  • Check for Power Supply Issues: Ensure that your phone is adequately charged, as power issues can sometimes interfere with USB connections.

  • Test on another platform: If possible, test the controller on a different gaming platform or device to check if the issue is with the controller itself.

I have tried a lot of recommended stuff, but the truth is when I connect my old xiaomi mi a3, it always works on the first attempt. With Samsung A55 it's always like 3-4 attempts to connect. And I have no idea why. It have had troubles when it was hot outside, same is now when there's below zero.

I was almost ready to take the phone into service when it occured to me that the problem was not the USB charger, giving the fact that the message was not affected at all by me plugging the charger in or out. In my case the problem was the microSD card. It just died and the phone gave me the wrong message. So, I took the card out, the messages stoped and when I checked the card in another device, actually two other devices, it was not working. I lost the data on it, but the phone is OK.

Later edit: the problem is back even without any card in the phone. Sooo... it did not worked.

I had tis issue on my old phone two days before it died. I got the same problem on my new phone not even half a year after buying it and I got really scared. I searched the cause of the problen and came to the conclusion that the port needs to be cleaned. I blew in it and the problem got fixed. If cleaning it out normally didn't work for you I don't think this will. I just wanted to share my experience so if somebody got the same problem they don't get too scared because a blow can fix it (mostly). I gope that you all succesfully fixed the problem.

Hi,

I scrapped the charging point with a toothpick. When doing this the end collected grime, which I suspect was fine metal filings.

I suspect the grime was causing the pins to connect causing the fault.

All sorted 👍
