When receiving a call, there is no sound.
Before the call is answered, I can't increase the volume, as nothing happens when I press the buttons.
I've done a phone reset, but still the issue presists.
Any ideas how to fix?

Are you using a pre downloaded tone or one you've downloaded yourself @MickinDublin
Try using another tone especially a pre downloaded option.
Won't harm running the diagnostic tool in your Samsung Members App too.
If you've factory reset then consider doing that again but set the phone up manually i.e not using the back up.
A Samsung Service Centre or Samsung Experience Store can assess your phone.

is this issue specific to the phone app or any communication app (Skype, Whatspp, telegram... )?
Maybe you need to reset or clear cache and data of the phone app. or maybe you need to try a different phone app, like google's

Only issue is with phone calls on the phone.
Have reset the phone a few times, still no improvement.

@MickinDublin: If you head to Settings > Sounds and vibration, is the phone in 'Sound' mode (as per the options at the top of the menu)?
If so, try selecting 'Ringtone' and choose another ringtone from the list of options to see if this helps.
