A54 received calls problem

When a call comes in and I don't answer it it used to show up on the home screen with a number affixed to the phone icon. Suddenly it stopped. How can I turn this back on?

Also, to see if I have received any voice messages I have to log in to voicemail. is there any way to set it up so that it shows if I have new voicemail on the home page?

@tbathree: Please head to Settings > Apps > Phone > Notifications > App icon badge, and make sure that there is a tick visible below this option. If there isn't, tap the circle below 'App icon badge' so a tick appears, and this will display how many missed calls you have on the Phone app icon until you interact with the app. 

For Voicemail, swipe from the top left of the screen to the bottom, and if a voicemail has been left by a caller then you should find a notification which you can interact with.
