No micro sd card slot on the A56

Such a shame Samsung has ditched the micro sd card slot this year on the A56. I've previously had the A52 and currently have the A54. 

I was planning on upgrading to the A57 next year but it looks like I'll be getting another brand now that still provides that feature.

I don't see any reason for not having a combined slot i.e where you can choose between a 2nd sim card or SD card. Obviously manufacturers want you to pay either a higher price for more internal memory or subscribe to cloud storage. SD cards are useful for situations where you have no Internet access or for extending the life of phones with low amounts of internal storage. Samsung have UFS SD cards that run as fast as internal storage which can be used on some tablets but not enabled on phones which is a shame as it would be a useful way of extending your phones storage without changing devices and would make phones quite a powerhouse to have in your pocket. I personally have 1tb on my phone and get 1tb of onedrive cloud storage with my MS office subscription

I've never had a problem with a micro sd card on any of my phones. I've got a 512GB Samsung Evo Select card in my A54 that I have set up to work with the camera that saves me loads of internal storage.. I've also got loads of films and music on it.

I miss the FM Radio on my phone. Just because you don't like something, doesn't mean it shouldn't be included.

The cloud isn't "innovation" lol. One hacking moment and all your stuff is ...gone.

To name a few: Performance issues: SD cards can be slower than internal storage, affecting app performance and data transfer speeds. SD card slots take up valuable space—phones are getting thinner and with higher specs, room is at a premium. Cloud storage—why risk having storage that can be lost or broken easily when there are so many cloud storage options?

You can question it, but they are not shucking it for no reason.
