Upgrading to S20 /S21/ S22

Hi. I have a 3.5 Yr old Samsung A71 4G with 128G / 6GB memory. I've been pleased with it, as it has actually outlasted my 3 year contract. It is just starting to freeze now, and it has suffered a cracked screen since 1 month from new. The battery is also definitely not lsdting as well! Having moved to a contract with smarty ,I am very reluctant to take out a new pay monthly contract and I want members advice on replacing it with a refurbished Samsung S20 S21, S22, bought outright. How much of an upgrade would these be please and could I expect another 3 years service? Also, none of these have an SD card slot. As someone with 18GB of music on my A71, how can I get over this please?

If it was me I'd go for the S22
But be careful where you get refurbished phones from
Some can be not from your region and worse still not had much refurbished
Probably best to stick with recognised retailers and not Amazon, eBay or Facebook Marketplace to name a few

They sometimes have refurbished in the Samsung store app. Also consider the A55 as a more direct replacement.

I'd suggest go with s22 as it will last longer, and is better then other 2 options.

In terms of how to move your files from sd card to your new phone you can use Smartswitch app and you should be able to transfer all files from sd card to your new device.

I'm just worried that as the S series don't have an SD card, putting music etc on the memory will reduce it too much?

Think the S22 (refurbished is the best option) for future proofing even if not most modern device.   be careful with source aas mentioned.  A55 is regarded in terms of A series  if you still wish to go down that route.

Note that the S20 and S21 series will soon be out of support so agree with others, go for S22 series or even S23 Series if budget allows

I'd strongly push you towards the s24 series or the newer s25 series.

I know it might be a big jump for you.

But it will be worth it in the long run

Samung does really good preorders if you get the s25 series next year.

Or

There will be good offers on the s24 series.

Again. If you dont want or use all the tech advancements the newer phones offer the others recommended will cover most bases. 😊
