New Samsung A34 5G making high pitch noise on main camera

Hi, 

My sister bought a new Samsung A34 5G phone and on the camera app using the main camera, there is a continuous high pitch ringing noise, tried restarting, updating, factory reset etc and it is still there. Anyone know why this could be the case?

@BEON22: This isn't something that I have personally encountered before. Have you been able to verify where the noise is coming from e.g. one of the speakers? If you change lens or Camera mode, does the issue persist? To check for a potential hardware issue, head to the Phone app, dial *#0*# into the telephone keypad, and select 'Megacam'. Is the sound present during this test?

I have similar issue with the sound coming from around the actual camera not speakers.

Hi, I have the same issue. I've done what you said and the noise is present when it's the first option hdr auto flash but not on the other two. Is this fixable or do I need to return the phone?

I have the same issue. The noise comes from the camera lens itself and is present during Megacam. I also tried changing some camera settings and the only time it does not make the noise is when you set the zoom to 0.5.

Hi @AndrewL ,

I have the same issue (new A34). Also megacam makes this high pitch noise from camera module.  This noise is also recorded in videos. And It is really annoying.

Exist even after UI 6 (android 14 update)

Is there any solution?

Hi, @Members_PZippzb. That's a very unusual issue, so I'd recommend submitting an Error report, so that our developers can take a closer look into this for you:

Same for me. Got my a34 brand new about 3 weeks ago. The only time the high-pitched sound stops is when set to 0.5x in relevant modes. Noticed the sound when I did a video at 1x. The sound persists in all other modes.
