Hi all,
I purchased my A55 5g model from India and travelled to United Kingdom. I didn't checked packaging box before landed in The UK that it says "Indain Sim cards only" label. Now problem is, it doesn't support UK sim card. What should I Do? And it is strange that after putting UK sim card It does support for 20 to 25 minutes and after that start showing "for emergency calls only ".
I am confused and don't know what to do with.
Please help me out from the situation as I can't travel back to India for 6 to 7 months. As so.e people suggest instert Indian sim card and do setup than will be able to use any sim card you want. Is there any other option available? Please suggest.
Thanks in advance for your support and help.

Hi there 👋, and welcome.
As long as you set up your phone with Indian sim card yes, alternatively you can try to reach out provider who you bought phone from and ask to unlock it as long as you have all invoices And proof of purchase.

Hi.

If the phone is locked to the region for whatever reasons. I doubt you can do anything about it .

If you plan to live in the UK for a while maybe buy another cheaper phone to use a UK sim.

Phones in UK are all unlocked as far as I know as long as you buy from a reputable company.

If money is an issue and if you have friends here you could get them either on contract ( if friend or family can help) and /or buy now pay later at places like Argos or even Samsung ( again via friend and family)

Hello @Ssaini and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum Section for Uk and Eu Members 👋

And a Warm Welcome to the UK on your trip.

I'm sure your helping to enjoy the sights here.

Does your own Network allow roaming on your account  🤔  it might be beneficial to ask them.

If not then you could visit one of the many Highstreet Stores that unlock phone's to all networks.

Fully explain to them that your not from the UK and think your phone is region locked.

They'll be able to then advise if they can assist and they will then discuss a fee if they can help.

Have a UK sim with you that's activated to test before leaving the shop.

However the advice by @GoanGeek  to purchase a cheap mid range phone to use a uk sim in is great advice.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎
