On my old samsung galaxy S8, I could see if I had a message without touching the phone as it would have a little white light that would constantly flash. I now have a samsung galaxy A55 and can only see a notification if I happen to see it flash as the message arrives or if I physically check the phone. Obviously this is when have the phone on silent! Is there such a feature on the A55 like on the S8?

No, the LED notications are no longer on any new phone now. The only option is to use the edge lighting feature but that isn't as good as the old LED feature phones use to have.

Thank you for responding so quickly! Yes, I've got the edge lighting but no, it's not as good. At least I know the answer now! Have a nice day 🙂

@Believers2025: You may wish to head to Settings > Lock screen and AOD > Always On Display > On > When to show > For new notifications. This will enable the AOD when you receive a notification, and leave the icon visible until you interact with the phone.
