How to unlock A8 2018 with cracked screen? (auto restart each night forces pin entry, which is impossible)

Hi folks, yesterday I dropped my A8 2018 and cracked the screen and now i cannot unlock it to download photos etc. as a 'Mass Storage' device from my laptop.

1. Screen damaged preventing PIN entry

2. Fingerprint active

3. Phone auto reboots every night, forcing PIN entry first log on - which is impossible as screen is dead

I have my old S6 which is up and running and need to restore from backups etc.

If you have backed up your phone, set up a new Samsung phone and go to restore, hopefully everything will repopulate the new phone from the old depending on your settings

if you have a usb adapter that fits the charger port USB type C to A or USB type B to A (cannot remember which port is on A8) then you could plug a pc mouse into that to enter your pin if you can still see the screen the you could back you device to cloud storage or sd card.

Yeah. A8 is a usb C port btw not like the crappy A7 with micro usb and slow charging
