With the latest Android came an annoying, useless piece of adware called AppCloud. It only seems to exist to try to get you to download games. Its notification can't be swiped away and the option to uninstall it is greyed out.

I neither asked for it nor want it. I have blocked its notifications and have disabled it but I want it off my phone for good. Can a dev provide instructions for permanently deleting it?

I'll use APK Editor on my PC with adb + USB debugging enabled to forcibly uninstall the Appcloud. I don't leave any mercy to any Adware that behave like pests. Good riddance of that.

I was also going crazy over how to get rid of it. It came with an update for SAMSUNG. I removed it by clicking on it and then "continue" and then it auto-checked APPs it wanted me to install. I just un-checked those and pressed "finish". Then I was able to swipe AppCloud away. Hope this helps.

Basically it's adware probably installed by the "3" network provisioning - it's far too hard to remove it, and I'm never going to use the 3 network as a result of this underhanded money grabbing.

We buy these phones for kids sometimes and responsible IT companies load them with distractions, no wonder there is internet  safety backlash going on right now in the EU. Please 3 network, do the right thing first. Big breaking of trust for me when it comes to safety and spyware, especially since the company who makes AppCloud is currently in a warzone.

BTW for anyone wanting to remove it. You cannot but you can disable it entirely.
1. Go into Settings/Apps
2. find App Cloud, it's right near the top, tap on it
3. click force-stop
4. click 'disable'
Now go and remove all the apps it installed.

Also came pre-installed on my S24+ from AT&T... seems impossible to uninstall and I agree that it's basically adware. Has no purpose other than to try to force clickbait games on you. Infuriating how they embedded this into the phone and made it impossible to uninstall.

To permanently remove AppCloud from your Android phone, you'll need to root your device, which means getting special access to the system files. This can be tricky and risky, so make sure you know what you're doing or get help from someone who does. Once rooted, you can use apps like Titanium Backup or System App Remover to completely uninstall AppCloud from your phone. But be careful, as rooting can void your warranty and may cause issues if not done correctly.

While you are technically right, it's not because that's the best way to remove the app, just when you root you lose connection to os updates and thus they can't push the app back onto your phone. The adb method is good enough, easy, and there is prior service notes that I have with samsung, confirming authorization from them to use adb without worry of voiding any agreement with them, same with att carrier.

Found this site. About half way down are the instructions for permanently removing Appcloud. Worked well for me. On my phone the Appcloud was called  com.aura.oobe.samsung.gl

It not too difficult if you follow the instructions carefully and reconnect your phone via USB.

It's back. Had my phone 3 years, and now this kept nagging me. I unticked the preselected but still downloaded unwanted mistplay and 2 more. Uninstalled the apps, but appcloud doesn't even come up searching the Samsung store. Found it in apps and removed notifications, I will block next time.

The exact same thing just happened to me. I unchecked all the pre-checked apps and tapped "Close", but this useless piece of unwanted bloatware still downloaded three apps I didn't want. Furthermore, once the downloads had started, it was impossible to cancel them.
