How do I delete unwanted keyboard suggestions?

When entering data, the suggestions are generally useful and I don't seek to disable them. However the occasional one is either no longer relevant or even a typo. Pressing & holding does not offer deletion. I just want to access that user generated list and delete the bad ones, but this seems impossible. Any ideas?

When a suggestion appears that you don't wish to keep, press down on it and am option to delete should appear.

Delete it. 🙏

Hi, as stated in my post, the option to press/hold and be offered to delete has never appeared. Tried many times.

@Roy12345: Are you making sure to press and hold on the suggested word above the keyboard/below the input field? Please note that this will only work for words which don't match the word you have inputted. 

As an example, I entered 'Gate' and was offered 'Gateway' as a suggestion. I can press and hold on 'Gateway' and delete it from the 'learnt words' list, but 'Gate' cannot be deleted in this instance.

Yes as stated in my post, and by others when I google this problem, that option to delete the typo simply isn't offered.
