Hi everyone,
I recently bought a Galaxy A35 for myself and one for my son. I need to connect a small MAudio MIDI keyboard to the smartphone using a USB OTG cable. I thought I wouldn’t have any issues, as both the keyboard and the cable are recognized correctly by my PC, my (very old) Honor phone, and even my wife’s Galaxy A34 (the model immediately preceding mine). However, I noticed that on neither of the two A35s I have does the device get recognized, as if the USB port’s MIDI connection mode isn’t supported on this model.
I also tested it with another MIDI keyboard, and the results were the same (it works everywhere except on the A35s).
I haven’t been able to find anything online to help me identify the issue, nor have I found Samsung’s technical specifications indicating that support for this mode has been disabled on the A35 (which would be odd, considering the "MIDI" mode still appears as an option when I connect the smartphone to a PC for data transfer).
Has anyone else encountered this issue, or does anyone have suggestions on how I might identify the problem?
Thanks so much in advance!
Best regards,
Francesco
