Gallery/Storage error

 my whatsapp images album doesn't show up on my gallery (nor any apps that could access gallery like instagram) and it says on my album files settings that i could only access the album from those options. I never disabled my auto-save image setting on whatsapp/gallery and i already restarted my phone & clear the chaches

Go to whatsapp > 3 dots on the corner > settings > chats > toggle on "media visibility"

I never turned it off, but i have tried to switch it off then back on but nothing changed, the album is still missing

The setting says "newly" so old images won't appear. Only new images appear. Get a friend to send you a picture and hopefully it should show up in your gallery
