Hi, please help. I have a brand new Galaxy A71 and initially used Smart Switch to transfer all of my stuff from my old Galaxy S7.

Everything was fine for about an hour and then the phone turned itself off. Didn't think it was a major problem at first, but then it kept doing it, maybe 1-2 times per hour.

I read a lot of potential 'fix's' but couldn't work out what was causing it. I booted the phone in Safe Mode and the phone did not turn itself off.

This led me to believe it is an issue with an App. After deleting around 50 apps I gave up and went for a factory reboot. When back to the initial set up, I didn't install any apps and phone remained on at all times. I installed whatsapp, verified my number and didn't restore my old messages, within an hour it turned itself off with only one app loaded, namely whatsapp.

I have deleted the app and the phone stays on. Can anybody help with this please.

Regards

I would be unable to say without having a closer look at this. Can you take a look at the steps listed on this guide: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/samsung-smartphone-turns-itself-off-and-stays-off-... that our colleagues in India have put together?

If the issue persists after that, I think that you should get this examined by one of our engineers: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/contact/

Thanks for helping. I have tried everything in the post from Samsung India, apart from pulling the battery as I'm not sure that I can do that on this phone.

I set up a chat support session to Samsung and they pretty much said I should do the same things and said I should contact the retailer.

I have now emailed the retailer and asking them how how this can be sorted. Hopefully it won't be too painful.
