I use my A34 almost exclusively at home because I'm housebound with illness, and connect to the internet via wifi. The phone is great except for one big problem: about half the time after I wake the phone, it will disconnect from the wifi and start using mobile data instead. I have to keep turning off wifi and switching it on again to make it reconnect.
I have tried multiple solutions. I've reset my router. I've made my phone forget the wifi network and reconnect to it. I've selected static IP. None of this works. It's very frustrating and I'm thinking of returning it unless I can solve this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

It somehow got even worse after a factory reset and updating to Android 14. Literally multiple disconnections an hour. Sometimes it won't happen for a couple of hours. I can't even use my phone to play YouTube/radio to fall asleep to now as the wifi disconnects. I've just arranged a pickup for Samsung to repair. I'm not hopeful, as I suspect this is a fundamental problem with the handset model.

Well I'm disappointed to have got the following email from Samsung:
Basically they're telling me nothing is wrong with it, despite it being the only device in my house that's ever had this problem.
Rebooting my router did not fix the problem. And repeatedly clearing app caches is not something I should have to do for my device to function properly, even if it did work for me, which it didn't.
So now I have to explore my options as a consumer, seeing as I paid £299 for a device that doesn't work properly.
