Galaxy A34 5G keeps disconnecting from wifi after waking

I use my A34 almost exclusively at home because I'm housebound with illness, and connect to the internet via wifi. The phone is great except for one big problem: about half the time after I wake the phone, it will disconnect from the wifi and start using mobile data instead. I have to keep turning off wifi and switching it on again to make it reconnect.

I have tried multiple solutions. I've reset my router. I've made my phone forget the wifi network and reconnect to it. I've selected static IP. None of this works. It's very frustrating and I'm thinking of returning it unless I can solve this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe random, but have you tried starting phone in safe mode

I started my device in safe mode then rebooted normal mode. Also deleted a few apps. Fingers crossed that worked. Next option is factory reboot if not

That's a good route to try done it on other phones in past

No haven't tried that yet, will give it a go

Just factory reset my phone. One downside as part of process I could not see option to skip install of apps that did not come reinstalled on phone

Heads up maybe just me but wi-fi connection issues worse after factory reset

Might pay you to ask supplier of your phone to replace it, would not have thought everyone that's purchased this phone to have our problems with WiFi

No, I've sent them five or six error reports think there just sending me round in circles. They always want more info..
