Fingerprint scanner overheating

New update installed and immediately my power button finger print scanner got super hot. Samsung help didn't help. I deleted all the added apps and a lot of my other ones. I've never even used the fingerprint scanner. It's hot enough to burn. Obviously a software issue . Anyone had any luck with this. I'm Obviously not the only one, I've seen posts about it but no solutions

Is it just part of the screen that gets hot? Or is it the entire screen?

Hey, did this start right after you updated your phone, or was it a few days later?

1) If it started right away, check if there's another update. If not, back up your data and factory reset your phone. See if that fixes it.

2) If it started a few days later, it might be a hardware issue. Did you drop your phone or anything like that? If not, you should probably send it in for repair. It could be a safety hazard.

Well it's either sending it in, disposing of it or keeping it 🤷

Had that issue with a A10S. I simply disconnected thw fingerprint ribbon and now the issue is gone.  The phone even started to power off after getting hot.  Not sure what's the issue.
