Email transfer problems

I have transferred my emails to my new phone (J6 to A54) PARTIALLY  all right. But 'SEND' and RECYCLE BIN' are missing.

I have also found that the emails saved in the INBOX aren't there either. The only emails are the ones received when I set up the accounts on the new phone.

The old mails are still visible on my phone and I did back the phone up prior to starting this upgrade.

How can I get these emails on to my new phone?

Hey, have you managed to resolve your issue? If not, it may take a while for old emails to fully appear after a backup as they can take time to download. I would advise double-checking if you selected emails to download from a backup in your settings just to rule that out as an issue.

I'm not sure my explanation of the problem was sufficient.

I have linked my old phone to my new phone and transferred everything to the new one. In doing so the transfer only took the current emails, it did not transfer any historic emails in my SENT directory or my RECYCLE BIN directory.

As I did a full back up before I started this transfer I tried to restore the emails from this as well.

It would appear that the historic mails are not in the back up either.

If you were using Outlook on your computer you could export a PST file with everything in it. I suppose that is what I am looking for on Samsung Email on an  Android phone

** I have just tried an external backup of the email to an SD card; this didn't take any historic emails either. I am very puzzled as to why this isn't possible.

If Outlook was your previous email app, I'd recommend downloading it from the app store and using that as your primary instead. The same goes for Gmail and others.

That might help with your issue personally i prefer the Gmail app to any others available as you can have all accounts visible.

Was it the samsung email you used previously on your old device or another alternative?.

I use Samsung App for the email  n my old phone and the new one.

I mention outlook only to demonstrate the sort of solution I was hoping to find .

Samsung Email App on both devices.

On the old device I can see listed all the sent mails and all the recycled emails but they don't transfer over in any of the ways I have tried. My email is perfectly happy on the new phone receiving and sending on both my accounts.

It is a strange issue. Have you tried reaching out to Samsung about this issue? Maybe one of their experts can help solve your problem for good!

I did look on the Samsung Support page but I did not find any contact address for sending questions to them direct.

I can send you a link for a live chat and a contact number if you would like, but I think they would have to be used tomorrow now.
