I have a samsung a40 and was wondering if i get one ui4. As my phone is from 2019 i should get it, because it is 3 year old. So will i get one ui 4?

I don't mind so. If you look phone list which will get OneUI4 then Galaxy A40 not there.

Galaxy A40 already received 2 Android OS updates, so it won't get Android 12, at least on official way.
