Hi
I have been using an A04S for over 2 years without problem. For the last fortnight attempts to charge the phone using USB charger ports have resulted in slow charging of up to 44 hours!. The phone charges fast with ctoc leads.
The USB in my car will not charge the phone or allow sat nav either.
Previously all had been fine with USB use.
Help!

@valleyfloydroad: Are you using an official Samsung 15W plug adapter, along with the USB cable that came packaged with your device? When you mention that the phone charges fast using c-to-c leads, what are you connecting the lead to? I ask because 'fast charging' should only be possible using a plug adapter, while connecting via USB to a home computer, for instance, should only generate standard charge rates. I understand, however, that you might be comparing the charge rate to the 44 hour charge period you reported.

When you connect your phone to your car via USB, swipe from the top of the screen to the bottom to access your Notification panel, tap on the USB configuration notification, and look for a 'charging' option. Let me know if this helps.

Thanks. Yes the ctoc has been working by use of a plug adaptor.
I will try the method described when i next use my car.
What really confuses me with the car use is that it has been fine for 13 months until now

@valleyfloydroad: In the USB configuration menu, you should see an option for Android Auto. If you have recently updated the phone, then this may be why the default USB settings have changed.

Thanks again Andrew. I suspect these issues commenced following a software update. In addition to not being able to charge my A04S in my car, I have been unable to use the navigation system either. It had been working ok for over 12 months previously.
I followed your sugestion re notifications. My A04S appears to not have a notification panel? I did scroll down, found notification settings, almost all my apps were showing as allowed including Android Auto. My navigation system on the car is not linking to either Waze or Google Maps. It had connected for the last 12 months.
Am I missing something?

@valleyfloydroad: The Notification panel should be accessible by swiping down from the top left of the screen (if you are on Android 15). From here, while connected to your car via USB, you should see a USB Configuration notification which can be tapped on to access further options (as per the above).

Let me know how you get on.

Andrew. Really appreciate your help. Sadly no real progress.
I have purchased a unit which fits in the cigarette lighter. It has port for ctoc and this keeps the charge on my A04S.
The USB lead fits in the USB socket in my peugeot. For charging it only offers slow charge. I managed to connect the phone book to. However, despite multiple attempts using Android Auto, I have not been able to connect the navigation system. My phone appears paired with the vehicles system but not the navigation element.
