Cover screen stops working

I have a Galaxy A34 5G with a Smart View Wallet Case. Every day the cover screen randomly stops working. The "Cover screen" option in Settings disappears. The only way to get it working again is to restart the phone. This is infuriating.

Once restarted, I have to redo my cover screen clock style customisation which returns to default even though the default clock type is not selected.

When the cover stops working, if I do a *#0*# diagnostic test, the Hall IC detects the cover without any problem.

Is there a known fix for this that actually works? I have seen many similar posts but no solution.

I just tried the fix, after (clearing the cache partition) and the fix works on my A34 5G! 😀

The fix worked on the first time but now the problem has reoccurred and the fix (clear the cache does not work)

Clearing the cache is not the actual fix. It is removing the phone from its case completely (phone powered on), and then replacing it in the case, top end first. The fix mensions have to have a charging cable attached to the phone, but I have found that this is not necessary (at least on my A34). The fix is also not permanent; at some point days or weeks later you may have the problem come back, in which case you just remove the phone from its case and replace, as above.

I have the same issue. I also have a Samsung A34 5G phone with a smart view wallet case (lime colour) and the issue is is that after a software update, the same things happens although I don't restart my phone. Last time I did it, the same thing happened but after 24 hours, the smart view cover returned and the option returned too. Its been 24 hours and it hasn't returned and I've tried everything but it appears to not come back. I'm not sure if I should wait it out because it came back randomly before. Should I take off the case and put it back on later? I'm not sure but I wish stupid software updates never do this- it's annoying really and aggravating to even deal with-

It seems to happen after every software update and at random other times. I just leave the phone on, take it out of the case completely, then put it back in top edge first ( don't know if that makes a difference, but I do what works for me).
