Hi @NuwɔZa, it sounds like you're experiencing a significant issue with the Contacts app on your Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Restart Your Device

  • Sometimes a simple restart can help reset processes and fix minor glitches.
  • Press and hold the power button and restart the phone.

2. Check for Software Updates

  • Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
  • Ensure your phone is running the latest software version. Updates often fix bugs that may be causing the issue.

3. Clear the Cache and Data of the Contacts App

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Contacts.
  • Tap on Storage and then choose Clear Cache and Clear Data.
  • This will reset the Contacts app but won't delete your contacts if they're synced with your Google account or Samsung account.

4. Check Your Sync Settings

  • Go to Settings > Accounts and backup > Accounts.
  • Select the accounts you use for syncing contacts (Google, Samsung, etc.), and ensure Contacts is enabled for syncing.
  • You can also manually sync by selecting the account and tapping Sync now.

5. Disable and Re-enable Contacts Sync

  • In Settings, go to Accounts and backup > Accounts, select the account you're using, and turn off the sync for Contacts. Wait a minute, then turn it back on and try syncing again.

6. Check for Low Storage Space

  • Low storage can sometimes cause syncing issues. Go to Settings > Device care > Storage and check if you have enough space. If not, try deleting unnecessary files or apps.

7. Try Safe Mode

  • Booting in Safe Mode helps identify if a third-party app is causing the issue.
  • To start in Safe Mode, press and hold the Power button, then tap and hold Power off until the Safe Mode option appears.
  • Tap Safe Mode, and your phone will restart. Check if the Contacts app works in Safe Mode. If it does, a third-party app might be interfering, and you'll need to uninstall apps one by one to identify the culprit.

8. Reset App Preferences

  • Go to Settings > Apps > tap the three-dot menu in the upper right corner, and select Reset app preferences.
  • This will reset all preferences for apps without deleting data, which can resolve issues like app malfunctions.

9. Try Removing and Re-adding Accounts

  • If syncing still isn't working, try removing your Google or Samsung account and adding it back.
  • Go to Settings > Accounts and backup > Accounts, select the account, and choose Remove account. After that, re-add the account and enable Contacts sync.

10. Factory Reset (Last Resort)

  • If none of the above methods work, you can try a Factory Reset, but this should be your last resort.
  • Before doing this, make sure to back up your data. To factory reset, go to Settings > General management > Reset > Factory data reset.
