Claim Galaxy Fit3 watch Reward Issue

Hi

Purchased an A35 mobile as a Christmas present a few days ago. Wanted to claim the smartwatch reward but note that I need to supply a photo of the device displaying the IMEI number. As a Christmas present the mobile will obviously not be unsealed and set up until after Christmas which is to late to claim the reward (greater then 30 days after purchase). This cannot be an unusual issue so I assume there must be a way around it or am I being penalised for being organised and buying Xmas presents early?

I originally thought I would submit this query using the online customer services form but strangely although the form allows you to select a subject heading of 'Claim Submission Query' you cannot submit the form without a claim reference which of course is not available!

The whole process seems poorly thought out.

Hi, you have up to 30 days from the date of purchase to submit your claim, however if I were you, I'd submit the claim by just taking a picture of the box displaying the IMEI and serial number. Once you have done this, you'll be able to send a query, explaining that it's a Christmas present. It's worth a try with not many other options.

I guess if I make a claim using just the box picture it's unlikely to be accepted but at least I will have a claim in the system that might get around the 30 day issue. I would assume once a claim is ongoing they would not close it while awaiting further information ( i.e. the mobile screenshot).

Exactly, they normally would request further information and give you a time frame to submit it. So I'd suggest you rather put the claim in as late as possible and by the time you need to submit the extra evidence, you'll have an extra window to submit. It's happened a few times with me.

The link is the customer services form I referenced at the end of my original post. You can only submit the form if you already have a claim reference so it cannot be used if the claim has not been made yet!

How do I claim my galaxy watch and case any help would be greatly appreciated as everything i try saying it's closed
