Purchased an A35 mobile as a Christmas present a few days ago. Wanted to claim the smartwatch reward but note that I need to supply a photo of the device displaying the IMEI number. As a Christmas present the mobile will obviously not be unsealed and set up until after Christmas which is to late to claim the reward (greater then 30 days after purchase). This cannot be an unusual issue so I assume there must be a way around it or am I being penalised for being organised and buying Xmas presents early?
I originally thought I would submit this query using the online customer services form but strangely although the form allows you to select a subject heading of 'Claim Submission Query' you cannot submit the form without a claim reference which of course is not available!
The whole process seems poorly thought out.

I guess if I make a claim using just the box picture it's unlikely to be accepted but at least I will have a claim in the system that might get around the 30 day issue. I would assume once a claim is ongoing they would not close it while awaiting further information ( i.e. the mobile screenshot).

@ GAW: In this instance, I recommend reaching out to the Promotions Team by following the link below, scroll to the bottom of the page, click on 'Get In Touch', and explain the situation, to see if they're able to offer any advice on how to claim the Galaxy Fit3 without opening your A35 5G.
