My A53 device has been crashing and restarting, took it to Samsung repair centre where I was told the A series model are problematic and I have to pay for a new motherboard with costs a lot. Essentially samsung has been selling a faulty product and expecting its customers to pay for it. Greatly disappointing customer service from a once reputable company.

@boje1: Our standard warranty covers software and hardware defects for 24 months from the initial purchase date. If your Galaxy A53 is outside the warranty period, then a charge will be applicable to cover the cost of the service and the parts required to complete the repair. I understand that this was not the outcome that you were hoping for, however our engineers can only complete free of charge repairs for devices that are inside the warranty period.

Hello @boje1 and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋
I totally understand and appreciate your viewpoint about your phone issues.
As mentioned if the phone is out of warranty then Samsung may levyva fee.
Alternatively you could check any relevant alternative cover such as Home Contents Insurance, and or some bank accounts provide cover as a perk of the account.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎
