Currently when you recieve a call from a number and you want to call this number back but change like 1 digit because that person gave you another number from that same company, you have to  (1) go to your recent calls, (2) click on the number, (3) click on the little (i) icon, (4) click and hold on the number, (5) copy that number to your clipboard, (6) go back to your "keyboard" tab in the phone, (7) click and hold on the empty space, (8) edit the number, (9) Dial it.

What you could do: (1) go to your recent calls, (2) click and hold on the number, (3) press "edit before calling",(4) automatically be switched to the view "keyboard" with the number already filled in,(5) edit the number, (6) Dial it.

Many other UIs already have this feature and I'm really asking myself, why Samsung never bothered to add this feature, it's such a simple change. Instead of only "Delete" in the context menu, add "Edit before call"

Yes, if I get a call from a number I didn't know, I want to copy and search on it. It was easy to do on my moto. 😞

@JeffyOkla this does not work on my Samsung S24. I cannot copy the number, I can only delete.

On my old Motorola, you taped on the number and it have you several options... Call, delete, copy... This is not available on my s24

You're reply was in 2022, this is 2024, I'm not reassured.

When I click on the number there is no little (i) icon. The only choice is to delete the number. If I double click the number, I get other choices, like "add to contacts" but no choice to copy the number. Samsung is pathetic. EVERY APP HAS SOME RIDICULOUS ISSUE! AND no one has an answer, you're on your own!

This is what happens when devs set their own requirements agenda and not a business analyst who understands users needs. This is a basic, universally accepted IT approach that Samsung seem to ignore.

Still not fixed! (I would like to put 3 exclamation signs, but it is not polite lol).

How could it be possible that the phone (it is phone, it make call has a flawed calling app? It is phone, it make calls! It is very easy to fix, please make it finally!

I have just had the same issue on my s24 ultra of not being able to easily copy a missed call number to look it up. I ended up installing the native google phone app from the play store. If you long press the call, there is a copy option there where it should be. All call logs and contacts were there when I set it as my default phone app. Didn't have to uninstall samsung phone app either so can swap back if needed.
