Currently when you recieve a call from a number and you want to call this number back but change like 1 digit because that person gave you another number from that same company, you have to  (1) go to your recent calls, (2) click on the number, (3) click on the little (i) icon, (4) click and hold on the number, (5) copy that number to your clipboard, (6) go back to your "keyboard" tab in the phone, (7) click and hold on the empty space, (8) edit the number, (9) Dial it.

What you could do: (1) go to your recent calls, (2) click and hold on the number, (3) press "edit before calling",(4) automatically be switched to the view "keyboard" with the number already filled in,(5) edit the number, (6) Dial it.

Many other UIs already have this feature and I'm really asking myself, why Samsung never bothered to add this feature, it's such a simple change. Instead of only "Delete" in the context menu, add "Edit before call"

I found a way !!! - Click on number  / +Add to Contacts / Create new contact / NOW YOU CAN COPY / Cancel,

It sounds complicated, but it is just few extra clicks -better than nothing

Dear Samsung!
Have you completed the market research on this feature by now? If this is still ongoing, I'd also like to be added to the list of requesters. I'd really like to be able to copy a number after I hold it. No button necessary, even. Just copy to clipboard on hold.
More advanced UI option that I would be really happy to continue using now that I switched to this otherwise wonderful device I have, would be to "edit number before calling". Just in case I learn I need to dial another suffix.
This is a feature I used an enjoyed a lot by other manufacturers.

Three years later, the basic function still missing but the phone promptly suggesting sharing calls with Google to "combat spam" made me wonder if the absence could possibly be deliberate...
