Hi,
I recently switched from A71 to A55. With A71 I used 3.5mm jack earphones with microphone to do phone calls. For A55, since it has no 3.5mm jack, I bought (official) Samsung usb-c earphones, with mic on the wire. Then I bought official Samsung usb-c to 3.5mm jack adapter to use my old earphones.
Problem: In both cases (usb-c earphones or adapter + old earphones) the gain on the mic is very low. I have to hold the mic 5 cm in front of my mouth otherwise it doesn't register anything. This was NOT the case with A71 + same 3.5mm jack earphones, I could just have the microphone hang on the wire on my shirt and it would pick up my voice just fine.
Any suggestions? Troubleshooting? Is there some setting I have to change?

There are Microphone Amplifier apps available on playstore, could be worth trying one of those to see if they help?
I do not have the access to the phone now, as my friend is using it. I will try when possible (in March). However, I read on the internet that those apps DO NOT work during calls (as this would be a security vulnerability).

it is worth asking Samsung whether there are any known issues with the Samsung adapters you bought and the A55?
Well, that was my intention asking on the official forum. How should I do this if not here?

The other thing you could try is booting your phone into safe mode to see if that makes any difference in case it is an app issue?
Will try when possible.

Yes, tried that. It works as terribly bad as in calls.
